Week 1/2:
Some of the material taught in the first weak was already in my knowledge. For instance, the concept of precision in computer science ware introduced to me earlier by other mathematics courses. The topics about sets and proof were also a topic that I had studied in the past, So nothing was particularly challenging to me. The new knowledge that I learned in the first week were the 4 step problem-solving procedure, quantifiers, and the concepts of universal and existential claims. Week two was a lot more challenging, I was very confused over the concept of implication and contrapositive. I find it particularly hard to identify the antecedent and the consequence in a complex English sentence. The first two weeks of CSC165, is in my opinion, very interesting and challenging. However, I believe that the reasoning processes in my brain has began to adapt to this course.
